Discovery Planet 'Meteorite Mash-Up' Workshop

Our St Gregory's scientists have a brilliant time at the Meteorite Mash-Up workshop.
We had a great opportunity to visit Discovery Planet on Thursday. With the help from scientists from the University to Kent, they got to handle a variety of meteorites aswell as creating their own protection for spacecrafts against them. The children had to carefully consider not only the the product fulfilling its purpose, but also the cost. After this we got to shoot them, just as they do in the university labs, to test their suitability for space!
