Magnificent Materials 2024

This morning, 15 of St Gregory's scientists ventured to Discovery Planet in Ramsgate for a 'Magnificent Materials' workshop lead by Gunnar Moeller, a Royal Society University Research Fellow and his team from the University of Kent.
The children explored the magic effects of liquid nitrogen on balloons, cucumber and other everyday objects, "buried" their heads in the chilly liquid nitrogen clouds, watched trains levitate before their eyes and so much more!
As you can see from the photos, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and represented St Gregory's beautifully. They asked and answered questions using superb scientific knowledge and vocabulary!
