British Values
At St Gregory’s we support opportunities for all members of our school community to reinforce the ownership of ‘Being British’. We understand that everyone is different but celebrate our school diversity as a strength, not a weakness. Children learn that information can be distorted to try to influence others and are encouraged to think for themselves and question the facts before making assumptions.
As a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, we aim to follow British Values alongside our own School Values to ensure that we promote Article 29:
Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child's respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures and the environment.
