Welcome to the website of St Gregory's Catholic Primary School.

Our mission is to provide inclusive learning

with Gospel values where diversity is celebrated

and every child flourishes happily;

 free to explore and create

St. Gregory's is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this committment so that St. Gregory's remains a safe and secure place in which all children can learn and enjoy.

As a Catholic school, our main aim is to put Christ at the centre of everything we do by integrating Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church into every aspect of learning, teaching and the totality of school life. In our school, then, our children’s journey into adulthood will also be a journey of faith. All staff and governing body members share in this sense of belonging to the family of God and so work together to instil this feeling of love in all pupils, parents, carers and families of the community of St. Gregory’s.

St. Gregory's offers a broad, balanced and creative curriculum, based on Gospel values,  which caters for each and every child at the school. The extensive grounds offer unique outdoor learning and play opportunities, with healthy living being central to this. There is an emphasis, too, on learning in and from the community. Every class has a planned community visit or visitor each term (at least 6 per year) from which further learning is sourced. We actively foster real-life learning and encourage our families to share in and contribute to this.

Please browse our website where you will find, hopefully, useful information and photographs that will give you a little taste of what life is like at St. Gregory's. The best way to find out more, however, is to visit our wonderful school where you are guaranteed to receive a very warm welcome.
