Shakespeare club 2018-19 receive their Discover Arts Award

Our Shakespeare club have worked so incredibly hard this year. After performing their Romeo and Juliet scene to a packed out audience at the Marlowe theatre the children set out to complete an Arts Award which is accredited by the Trinity College London. This project was a portfolio which detailed their experiences throughout their time in the club. Through discovering Shakespeare and his works, exploring drama techniques in workshops and sharing their experiences with their peers the children have finally completed their portfolios and were official presented their awards in our achievement assembly.

Miss Rougvie and I are very proud of the perseverance this group have shown throughout their time in the Shakespeare club. Unfortunately, we will be losing our Romeo and Paris to Year 7 next year but we know they will continue their love for drama. We can't wait to see who joins next.
