Read Write Inc. lessons continue on YouTube each day. These sessions will be on a loop once all of the sounds in the set have been taught. This allows the children to master reading and writing these sounds in words effortlessly. For those children who are able to write these in simple words we would be challenging them in school to write multi-syllabic words. These can be found in the documents below.
Read Write Inc. phonics lessons are continuing on YouTube. These saty onine for 24 hours so you can complete them at any point in your day. Once all the Set 3 sounds have been taught the lessons will go on a loop. This allows the children to master reading and writing these sounds effortlessly in words.

Term 5: Week 1: Week Beginning 20th April

Remember there will be new daily phonics lessons on the Ruth Miskin YouTube channel each morning. The hold a sentence could be completed after this or you may choose to do it at another point in the day.

Choose a book to read for 10 minutes. Where is the strangest place you can find to read?

Writing challenge

Make your own breakfast (make sure you ask an adult for help if needed). Write a set of instructions of how to make it.

Maths challenge

You have 50p to spend. What snacks will you buy? Do you have any change?

You could set up a snack shop at home with your grownups. You will need to make your own price list together.

Art/DT challenge

Create a picture of a person using everyday objects in your house. The bigger the better! Take a photo and email it and we can share it on Facebook for others to see smiley
