St Gregory's Catholic Primary School

'For every future, for every child'

Week 1

This week, our Year 6 children went on a trip to visit Rochester Cathedral. While we were there, the children had the opportunity to take part in different activities in and around the cathedral as part of their science and maths exploration day. They had the chance to build bridges as part of an engineering task, make music using glass bottles and water, and also to make a tessellation pattern using 2-D shape. The children were also treated to a musical demonstration of the organ within the main part of the cathedral, where they were told about the workings of the instrument and how difficult it is to play.
